(imho): The color leaves in Ogura-yama mauntain, if you have a caring heart, please wait the Emperor’s visit once again.

When the retired Emperor visited the Oi River, he said, “The autumn leaves are so beautiful that it would be a good idea for Emperor Daigo to visit here as well.” It is said that when Prince Tadahira heard this, he said, “Let us convey the Retired Emperor’s wishes to the Emperor,” and composed this poem.

This is a popular poem due to cntainined in Hyakunin Isshu which is known by all Japanese people.

On a personal note,
I have decided to start working on calligraphy under a new system this year. I wrote this piece because I wanted to look back on my past “trajectory” as I am currently undergoing a fresh start.
