After working as a chemist and a scientific systems engineer, i am now engaged in Japanese calligraphy, and working as a lecturer, producing calligraphy works, designing logos, etc.

In this site, i introduce my own works and verses mentioned in them. Also i send you sense of the season in current Japan, and want to think about old times.

Speaking of old times, i like history since my childhood, and the kindergarten child muttered, “Toshodai-ji Temple, Todai-ji Temple…”

We always learn classic good books in the world of “shodo” calligraphy. i feel a sense of familiarity and reality for these books, since know historical background and circumstances of the author just a little. i can feel the people of those days are close through many classics, such as Mt. Taishan carved stone said to have been written by Li Si who was minister of Qin Shi Huang in about 210 BC., and handwriting of “kana” books, called “kohitsu”, that was written nearly 1,000 years ago by nobles. It is one of a reason of getting into “shodo” calligraphy for me.

i am aiming to be able to express what i felt now in my works, while following the deep aesthetic sense of classics.
